I'm afraid to say it - but what a load of pompous, pretentious b*ll*cks! Writers who write certain kinds of books (and who are good at it) may actually enjoy writing those kinds of books, and if they also bring money and acclaim, well - so much the better.
Just when I think he couldn't force his foot any further into his oversized gob, he does it again. Surely he's having a laugh?
